Our Mission:

The mission of the Utah Council of the Blind is to improve the lives of people who are blind by providing opportunities for them to become independent, self-sufficient and able to function in their communities.

Services and Programs at UCB

We are an organization made up of volunteers who are Blind or Visually Impaired to help others in the Blind community.

Here are some of the services and programs we offer to help those who are in need in their daily lives as a visually impaired individual.

Personal Braille Program

Independent Living Skills and in-Home Training for Seniors (55 - Up)

Ceramics and Art Class

Skill Development Program

Adaptive Technology and Assistive Technology Training

Subsidized Transportation Program to provide assistance and discounted cab fares for members

Presentation Committee for live speaking engagements and assemblies

Orientation and Mobility provided by Skill Development Program
